How to Awaken and Develop Your Sixth Sense

We are all aware of our five basic senses which are sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. However, we are not so well aware of our sixth sense, a connection to something bigger than our physical senses are able to perceive.

Sixth Sense

The sixth sense is actually our ability to perceive the subtle dimension or the unseen world of angels, ghosts, Heaven, etc. Commonly known as our gut instinct or intuition, the sixth sense is our ability to subconsciously know or suspect something beyond the realm of conscious reasoning.

All humans and animals have a sixth sense and sometimes when we are in danger, we can feel it. The problem is that our physical senses have become dull and we have lost touch with our sixth sense. Activating our sixth sense is a spiritual necessity because this special ability can help us in all aspects of life, from relationships to major life decisions.

Read on to find out how to awaken your 6th sense!

Pay Attention

Slow down and train yourself to notice even the smallest things around you. Make time for yourself, stop and acknowledge what your intuition is telling you. Force your mind to pay close attention to your surroundings and you will become more aware of the slight changes and small details in your environment. By learning to notice the small and insignificant things, you will find yourself more attuned to the world around you.

Feel the Vibes

Have you ever felt someone looking at you and then turned around and saw you were right? Have you ever had a fear of danger before anything bad has happened? Don't ignore these signals and take appropriate action. Feel the vibes because they are actually messages from your subconscious mind that are trying to warn you.

Keep a Dream Journal

Dreams are known as unconscious expressions of our inner thoughts and feelings, so as such, they contain valuable intuitive information of which you might be unaware. Write down your dreams immediately after waking up and learn to interpret them. Your dreams offer an insight into your daily problems and life events through images and symbols.

Free Write

Writing can be an extremely powerful way to tap into your subconscious mind and strengthen your intuition. Sit down in a quiet place and let your thoughts flow as they will. Free writing is a way of getting your brain in gear, and it's a great exercise you can do on your own at home. Just write down whatever thoughts come to your mind and do not criticize yourself.

Meditate

Meditation is another great exercise for the brain because it improves focus and concentration. Meditation can be an effective way for developing 6th sense intuition. If you cultivate your intuition, you will be able to see what is really happening and you will get better at solving problems. Meditation trains your mind to tap into your body's inner calm, so no matter what happens around you - you will be calm and able to listen to that inner voice.

Learn To Watch and Listen Closely

When talking to someone, give them your full attention. By learning how to observe people closely, you will also learn to pick up on small cues that can tell you what the person is truly feeling or thinking. Listen to others with all of your senses and pay attention not only to their words but also to their expressions and gestures. Some of these cues are very easy to pick up while others are subtle and require a well-developed sense of intuition.

Spend Time in Nature

Take a walk and spend more time in nature. When you're spending time in nature, you are actually stimulating some of the oldest parts of your brain that are necessary for survival. Going for walks in nature can be a great way to get out of your conscious mind and get into a more intuitive state. We need nature for our psychological well-being and for becoming more attuned to the world around us and less fixated on our conscious mind.
